What cookies we use
ExactMaterials sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The cookies that may be placed on your device come from Google, and only after you have made a choice in the consent banner where consent is required.
Categories
Strictly necessary. None are set by us. Cloudflare may set a security cookie to protect the site from abuse. These cannot be switched off.
Local storage (not a cookie). We store the last values you typed into a
calculator in your browser's localStorage, under keys beginning with
em:. This never leaves your device and is not readable by us or by any third
party. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and
_ga_<container-id>, which expire after 2 years and distinguish one
visitor from another without identifying you. These are only set after you consent.
Advertising. Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies such as
IDE, test_cookie, __gads and __gpi,
with lifetimes from a few minutes to 13 months, used to serve, cap and measure
advertising. These are only set after you consent to advertising storage. If you decline,
ads are still shown but are non-personalised.
Consent record. The consent management platform stores your choice so we do not ask again on every page. This is required for compliance and cannot be declined while you use the site.

How to change your mind
Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen the consent panel and change or withdraw your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the calculators will continue to work normally.
